University of Exeter Cornwall campus occupation
Thirty of us are currently occupying the Lower Stannary building against the education cuts. We are refusing to pay for the crisis of the bankers and greedy politicians who are ruthlessly putting profits before people.
Falmouth is one of the poorest towns in the European Union, and this university is at the heart of its local economy and culture. Brutal cutbacks will throw back all the progress made in the area.
A Falmouth Student said, 'We're protesting to show the university management that they need to be more vocal with national media and to oppose the governments cuts to arts and creative degree funding.'
'We will not tolerate the assault on the futures of students,' a Truro college student said.

Nottingham university occupies
Up to 150 students went into occupation yesterday at the University of Nottingham and more than 40 stayed over night. More people have been joining the occupation through Wednesday in the run up to a general meeting in the afternoon.
Students are demanding that the university authorities condemns the cuts at universities and loobbies the Russell Group and government against the cuts.
