Bus workers reject pay offer

Issue No. 2233

Bus workers at Metroline, north London, have voted by 91 percent in favour of industrial action in a consultative ballot over a pay offer.

Metroline bosses had offered workers either a £200 lump sum for this year, or £250 this year followed by a 1 percent pay rise from April.

The workers should demand that their Unite union, immediately moves to begin a full ballot for strikes.
