David Cameron’s spin doctor Andrew Coulson is yet again embroiled in controversy over the News of the World’s phone-hacking.
Coulson has always denied any knowledge of the illegal tapping, despite being the editor of the Murdoch paper while it was going on.
The police have now had to hand previously undisclosed documents to a sports agent whose phone was hacked.
And assistant editor Ian Edmondson has been suspended after actor Sienna Miller brought a legal case.
When Coulson was editor he ran a story about socialist Tommy Sheridan’s private life.
Sheridan sued the paper and won—but it responded with fury. Sheridan was put on trial for perjury after a £2 million police investigation.
Now Coulson’s still sitting at the heart of government—while Tommy Sheridan is on his way to jail.
