Phantom Noise

Issue No. 2236

Poet and former US soldier Brian Turner faces the traumatic aftermath of war in this new collection.

Flashbacks explode the daily hell of Baghdad into the streets and malls of peaceful California, at the same time sending his imagination reeling back to the war.

In sparse language the poems attempt to comprehend and cope with what the horror of what soldiers saw.

This collection is a follow up to his collection “Here, Bullet”, which was written while he was in Iraq.
