David Cameron’s spin‑doctor Andy Coulson quit last week over phone-hacking at the News of the World.
The scandal on the Rupert Murdoch-owned paper happened while Coulson was editor.
Coulson may have left Downing Street, but Murdoch is still pulling the Tories’ strings.
On Tuesday culture secretary Jeremy Hunt blocked the referral of Murdoch’s full takeover of TV company BSkyB to the Competition Commission.
He has given the firm more time to make “undertakings” and potentially dodge the regulator.
