Wood fight is new branch of struggle

Campaigners are fighting to stop the government selling off Sulham Woods, near Reading.

Berkshire Save Our Woods has called a protest on Saturday 5 March.

Mass opposition has led to the government temporarily stopping the sale of around 15 percent of public forests.

But a huge threat to forests remains and activists need to keep piling on the pressure.
