Projects 1973–2010 by Mary Kelly

Issue No. 2241

This is a retrospective of US feminist artist Mary Kelly, who tries to make the personal political.

Her installations include stories about motherhood, people born around the Second World War and a child abandoned and found in Kosovo.

Kelly’s work reflects on how we remember and talk about our experiences, from world wars to daily struggles.

Projects 1973–2010 by Mary Kelly is on at the Whitworth Gallery, University of Manchester until 12 June
