Galloway to stand in Scotland

George Galloway will be standing for a seat in the Scottish Parliament as part of a coalition against cuts.

The coalition includes trade union activists, community groups and organisations, including the Solidarity Party.

The coalition will stand a full slate of candidates on an anti-cuts platform.

Candidates include socialist Angela McCormick (a long-standing anti-war and anti-poverty campaigner), Brian Smith (branch secretary of Glasgow Unison and leader of the Defend Glasgow Services Campaign) and students and community activists.
