Issue No. 2243

The Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND) has called a protest against nuclear power in London on Sunday. The move is in response to the unfolding nuclear crisis in Japan.

The protest, Vigil for Fukushima—say no to nuclear power, will take place on Sunday 20 March from 2-3pm at Whitehall, opposite Downing Street.

Local activists have also called protests in Manchester and Plymouth tomorrow, Thursday.

Plymouth’s will begin at 5pm outside the Charles Cross police station, Charles Cross roundabout.

Activists will gather in Manchester from 6pm by the statue of Queen Victoria in Piccadilly Gardens, central Manchester.
