Pay curb won’t freeze MPs

Issue No. 2244

MPs generously agreed to a pay freeze this week.

Tory leaders argued that this showed that our representatives were keeping in step with other public sector workers, who face a pay freeze if they earn more than £21,000.

But MPs will not be in the same boat. Their salary is a whopping £65,738 a year—plus big expenses.
