Private sector cuts hit Thanet

Thanet Press, which has been running for over 200 years, has gone into administration.

Some 85 job will go, just weeks after pharmaceutical firm Pfizer announced thousands of redundancies in Thanet.

The Tories’ idea that the private sector will “pick up the slack” as they make public sector cuts is ridiculous.

The private sector is inflicting cuts and the effect of public sector job cuts threatens private sector workers too.

The solution is for us to fight back—and we need unity between public and private sector workers.
