UCU members in Scotland met on Friday of last week in the midst of disputes on jobs, pay and pensions.

The congress was dominated by debates on the future action to take.

Importantly, the congress voted overwhelmingly for a motion calling for a one-day strike on 10 May.

This would coincide with a day of action called by the EIS, the other main teaching union in Scotland, to take place across all further education colleges and post-92 universities.
