Moreland school victory

Issue No. 2247

The campaign at Moreland School in Islington received a major boost last week.

Governors at St Luke’s Primary, which was asked by the council to take over Moreland, voted against the proposals.

The remaining options, to federate or close, are now both on the table with federation looking the most likely option.

This means the two main demands of campaigners, that Moreland should retain its own, secular, identity and the shoddy building should be replaced, have been successful.
