Zimbabweans fight on

Issue No. 2248

Six Zimbawean activists are continuing to campaign against treason charges following their arrest at a meeting where they showed a video about the revolutions in Tunisia and Egypt.

Hopewell Gumbo, a former student organiser, is one of the six.

In a recent interview he explained that the audience was “predominately working class comrades from the high density suburbs of Harare, who would not have access to satellite dishes.”

If they are convicted they face a possible death penalty. Keep up the international pressure and solidarity.
