Hull protest against cuts

Around 80 protesters marched into Hull Guildhall and invaded the council chamber on Thursday of last week. The protesters then debated alternatives to the cuts.

Some saw a Labour election victory in Hull as key. But others stressed the need to build on the 26 March demonstration by supporting the strikes planned for 30 June. The call for coordinated action won warm applause.
