Members of the UCU union at Sheffield College took part in six days of strikes last week.
The strikes were spread across three further education colleges.
City college workers struck on Monday and Wednesday of last week, Hillsborough College on Tuesday and Thursday, and Norton college on Wednesday and Friday.
The action is in response to plans to issue compulsory redundancy notices to 120 full time staff, including 60 lecturers.
The UCU says that management claim they have to make cuts because of funding changes, but there has been no meaningful discussion with the union.
The mood on the pickets was buoyant and there is confidence we can win.
Lecturers have been spurred on by the victory at nearby Rawmarsh Community School.
More industrial action is planned for next week should the threat of compulsory redundancies remain.
