Bahrain regime targets students

Issue No. 2253

Several Bahraini people living in Britain are being forced to sign documents pledging their loyalty to the king of Bahrain and promising not to protest.

They were studying at the Oxford Aviation Academy pilot school and surviving on a Bahraini government loan.

When they took part in protests in solidarity with the revolt, the loan was withdrawn.

They have been ordered to return home, but fear for their lives. Their supporters are trying to raise the money to pay their fees and keep them in Britain.
