This portable exhibition by Surplus Value uses advertising techniques to put a socialist message across to the audience.

Dada inspired posters savage the myths of social justice at home and humanitarian intervention abroad. A statistical “wall of shame” exposes the rhetoric of recovery.

A razor sharp set of mocked up Times covers satirises the corporate media’s take on the anti-cuts movement. The group’s manifesto states that they want to “produce clear, simple, accessible messages addressed to all those whose labour is commodified”.

The exhibition was part of Manchester’s May Day celebrations.
