Tories hand out the wealth

The government hands £56 million worth of contracts to private companies every day. It has given almost 3,000 contracts to firms since the beginning of the year.

The contracts include advisers for the government’s new “free” schools and to help reform GP commissioning.

The government signed 79 contracts with a value of

£242.8 million on 4 April alone.
