Jobcentre Plus call centre bosses agree to talks

Issue No. 2255

Bosses have agreed to talks in the dispute over conditions of Jobcentre Plus call centres.

Department for Work and Pensions managers will meet the PCS union at the Acas conciliation service.

This follows three days of strikes involving thousands of workers.

Bosses are also planning to close 17 benefit processing sites and five call centres.

If management does not agree to union demands to improving conditions, then more strikes must be called.
