Health workers plan seven-day strike

Issue No. 2255

Cleaners, porters and domestics working for Medirest in Southampton are set to strike for seven days next week in a battle over pay and conditions.

The workers, in the Unison union, are angry that they do not have the same terms as most other NHS workers.

Alongside colleagues in Amersham and Wycombe, they have struck several times in recent months.

Send donations and messages of support to Bucks Health Unison, c/o union offices, Tindal Centre, Bierton Road, Aylesbury, Bucks HP20 1HV. Make cheques payable to Bucks Health Unison Hardship Fund
