Tokyo march to stop nuclear power

Issue No. 2256

Tens of thousands of protesters marched in Tokyo, Japan, last Saturday demanding that the government abandon nuclear power.

They chanted and banged drums.

Protester Yonosuke Sawada said, “The nuclear lobby says the cost of green energy is too high. I say the cost of cleaning up this mess and the possibility of more such accidents at the expense of our lives is much higher.”
