New York Hotel & Motel trades council union members held a loud protest against former IMF boss Dominic Strauss-Khan on Monday of this week.
Strauss-Khan was in court in New York pleading not guilty to charges of sexually assaulting a room attendant in May.
The boos and shouts of “Shame on you!” were so loud they could be heard on the 13th floor of the court building.
“Many people think that just because they have a lot of money, they can do anything, or that we are servants,” said Joselyn Agresta who works at New York’s Plaza Hotel.
“We’re showing that we are not servants.”
