Pensions workers to strike

Issue No. 2256

PCS members who administer the My Civil Service Pension (MyCSP) scheme are fighting to save it from backdoor privatisation.

Their bosses want to turn the scheme into a so-called “mutual”, outside the civil service.

In a ballot of the union’s 250 members across sites in Basingstoke, Cheadle Hulme, Liverpool, Newcastle and Worthing, 77 percent voted for a strike and 87 percent for other forms of industrial action. The turnout was 46.5 percent.
