Bus drivers hold mass meeting

Issue No. 2258

Bus drivers based at the Upton Park bus depot in east London held a mass meeting last week to discuss plans by Stagecoach bosses to shut their depot and move their work to West Ham.

Drivers, engineers, supervisors, clerical and canteen staff came together and mandated their union reps to return to management with a list of concerns they want addressed.

These include the doubling of disturbance pay, as the move will mean that most workers have to travel further to work.
