Create11 festival

Issue No. 2259

This month long festival brings together theatre, film, discussion and dance.

The Create festival has been running for four years, but this year looks set to be particularly special.

One of the highlights is a floating cinema, mounted on a barge that will pick people up from different points in east London. It will show films, and host discussions and tours.

One trip will include a tour of the Olympic site on 21 July with Iain Sinclair—author of a radical history of Hackney called Hackney: That Rose Red Empire.

Many of the events are free.

These include film showings and walking tours around different parts of London. These include events on the history of east London and a treasure hunt leading to a secret party.
