UCU and Unison union members protested against job cuts and attacks on English for Speakers of Other Languages (Esol) provision at Westminster Kingsway in central London on Monday of this week.
Around 60 people joined the protests, including a delegation from the PCS union branch at Euston Revenue & Customs.
Activists hung banners in the college reading, “Unity is strength”, “Defend Esol” and “This is our college—no to redundancies and casualisation”.
UCU secretary Peter Green said his branch had voted for escalating strikes in the new academic year to save jobs. Lecturers are working to rule.
