Defend socialists in Zimbabwe

Issue No. 2260

Six Zimbabwean socialists are in court from 18 July, charged with “subverting a constitutional government”—which carries a maximum sentence of 20 years.

After an international campaign the charges were reduced from treason, which carries the death penalty.

The six, including former MP Munyaradzi Gwisai, were among more than 40 people arrested in February for watching a video about the revolutions in Egypt and Tunisia.

Join the campaign to get all of the charges dropped.
