Call centre workers discuss interim agreement

PCS union reps from call centres met last week to discuss an “interim agreement” on the long‑running dispute over working conditions.

Most reps said the ACAS‑brokered agreement was not sufficient to settle the dispute and instead backed plans for further strikes.

Unless management agree to further improvements in conditions, the union should call the next wave of action quickly.

With co-ordinated strikes over jobs, pay and pensions likely in the autumn, the union must not demobilise members already in dispute.
