David Steel faces lobby questions

Former Liberal Party leader David Steel was hired to lobby on behalf of a businessman who is now under investigation for allegations of corruption.

Benoy Berry paid Steel to “bat” for his firm in the race for a $100 million contract to develop a national ID card for the Ugandan government. Steel later resigned from the job. Berry is being investigated over allegations of bribery in Nigeria.
