Health and social care bill to go to parliament

Issue No. 2267

The Tories’ Health and Social Care Bill will go to parliament again on Wednesday of next week.

A rebellion by workers in all parts of the NHS forced the government into a partial retreat over some issues.

The Unison union and the TUC have put out a call to organise protests and vigils.

In London, a candlelit vigil at parliament is set to take place at 9.30pm.

The Health Worker Network, Keep Our NHS Public, Right to Work and the Unite union are organising a march to parliament on the same day to help build the TUC’s event and provide a chance for all health workers to attend.

Assemble Wed 7 Sept, 6:30pm, St Thomas’ Hospital on Westminster Bridge Road
