Police officer guilty of assault

Issue No. 2268

A police officer has been found guilty of assault at Mansfield Magistrates Court, and warned he could face prison.

Timothy Allatt, of Nottinghamshire police, threw Jake Bramley against a wall and dragged him face down onto the floor in July last year. Allatt then kicked him in the chest.

Jake suffered a collapsed lung. Allatt was sacked in April following a police tribunal on a different issue.
