Quarriers strike against pay cuts

Issue No. 2268

Hundreds of workers at social care charity Quarriers struck against huge pay cuts in Glasgow last Tuesday.

They face 19 percent pay cuts if they sign new contacts by 23 September. If not, they will lose 23 percent. One worker of ten years said she would lose £4,500 from her salary. There is a mood now to ballot for further action.
