Printers' walkouts are having an impact

Issue No. 2270

Printers at the Wyndeham Impact in Basingstoke are now in their 21st week of strikes over redundancies, wage cuts and the threat of closure.

The Unite members are walking out for a total of two hours each day in protest.

Sara Bennett, from the Unite national executive, said, “We should recognise the courage of these workers in the face of a ruthless employer. They can give confidence to others,” she said.

“Unite has backed coordinated action across the public sector. This can galvanise the private sector.”
