Kent protests against youth service cuts

Issue No. 2272

Marchers took to the streets of Whitstable in Kent on Saturday to protest against council cuts to youth services.

The plans threaten the town’s one youth centre, where a variety of youth and community groups meet.

Thousands of names have been gathered on a petition.

The petition will be taken to Maidstone on Saturday as part of a Kent-wide protest organised by the Unison union.
