Fighting Fascism, Fighting Franco exhibition

The Mitchell Library in Glasgow is putting on a special one-day event to mark the 75th anniversary of the Spanish Civil War.

It focuses on the contribution made by Scottish volunteers to the Republican cause.

Afternoon sessions feature authors Stuart Christie, Chris Dolan and Daniel Gray as well as a talk by David Archibald on film portrayals of the war.

The evening involves a poetry and song event headlined by Jackie Kay with Nick Brooks, Rodge Glass and Laura Marney.
