by Doug Nielson
Issue No. 2274

A local ILWU dockworkers' union activist told us that an ad hoc support committee being organized with activists from about 20 local unions.

By 10.30pm there were still maybe 800 people circling around the 150 or so tents. We heard that the Parks Department was OK with us staying overnight.

'Half an hour later a legal observer came over and informed us that the police have all left. People moved to both sides of the street and are danced in the street.
