Trial continues in Zimbabwe

Issue No. 2275

The trial continues in Zimbabwe of six socialists threatened with long prison terms for showing a video about the Arab Spring.

The police spy in the meeting said in evidence that the meeting’s organisers were planning a demonstration to remove the government on 1 March. The trial was adjourned again until

24 October. The defence team hope that they will be able to start cross-examining the witness this week.
