New government clampdown on young people

Issue No. 2276

Home secretary Theresa May has unveiled plans to “clamp down” on gangs.

She plans to force “gang injunctions” on children as young as 14 years old.

Specific plans including banning children from certain areas and stopping them from walking their dogs.

Figures show that most of those who took part in August’s riots weren’t in gangs.

But the Tories are determined to keep up their anti-gang rhetoric to pursue their war on young people.
