Cabinet Office minister Francis Maude is determined to slash the “gold-plated” pensions of millions of public sector workers.
But millionaire Maude can look forward to a retirement fund of £731,883, according to figures from the Unite union.
And loaded chancellor George Osborne can look forward to a taxpayer-funded pension of almost £33,000 a year. Fellow millionaires David Cameron and Nick Clegg are not far behind.
Health secretary Andrew Lansley will get a pension almost ten times higher than the average health worker.
Meanwhile, a report published on Tuesday reveals that top bosses’ pay has increased by up to 5000 percent in the last 30 years.
And they say we’re gold plated.
