Occupy London activists backed the 30 November public sector strikes by marching to Lincoln’s Inn Fields to join the main London demonstration.

On the same day, Occupy activists took over the roof of Panton House, headquarters of mining giant Xstrata, in protest at executive pay.

Some 40 activists made it into the building, and a banner drop took place on the roof.

Now we plan to join the electricians’ picket lines on Wednesday. Our next big action is set to be next Thursday, when we are planning to “occupy everywhere”.

This will be the two-month anniversary of Occupy in Britain.

The media has focused on alcohol and drugs at Occupy London. There are people at the camp who have addiction problems.

But these problems did not come from the camp.

It is the system in which we live that creates these problems.

The Bank of Ideas, at the occupied UBS bank building, continues to be a hive of activity.

Occupiers started a challenge to a legal injunction to the squat in the courts on Monday.

UBS has tried to avoid longer legal proceedings by arguing that the action is a protest, rather than a squat.
