John's Occupy London Diary

Issue No. 2283

The City is taking us to court from 19 to 23 December, and then we will know if we will be evicted. But it’s not over yet.

On Thursday we are planning to “Occupy Everywhere” around Britain.

In Hackney, east London, this could see the launch of another occupation against the gentrification of the area for the rich.

We are also pushing to get more occupiers to the electricians’ picket lines.

We hope to be there in force on Wednesday.

Bankers will be enjoying their Christmas bonuses and parties. But thousands of people will be freezing because they can’t afford their energy bills. We are staying at the camp over Christmas in solidarity with them.
