Disabled people have produced a report that lays bare the scale of opposition to the government’s plans to reform disability benefits.
The Spartacus Report examines 500 responses to a Department for Work and Pensions consultation on the future of Disability Living Allowance (DLA).
The report accuses the government of misleading parliament over the consultation findings. The full findings have only been made public after a Freedom of Information request.
Some 98 percent of respondents opposed plans to raise the qualifying period for disability benefits from three months to six months.
