Domesday Reloaded: How Britain Has Changed

Wednesday 25 January, 9pm, BBC Radio 4

Issue No. 2286

Danny Dorling looks at how Britain has changed since 1986 as he revisits the BBC’s Domesday Project, which collected information on how people lived at the time.

Last year, Domesday Reloaded invited the public to update the collection of 24,000 photographs taken for the project 25 years ago.

Dorling meets some of the people whose lives have been changed.

The programme includes a study of life in Sheffield, where the destruction of the steel industry has changed the town dramatically.
