Edinburgh privatisation plan opposed

Issue No. 2286

Cleaners, janitors and caterers could be contracted by Mitie if plans go through.

Two months ago plans to privatise bin collectors and street cleaners were ditched by the council after sustained opposition by unions.

Unions have vowed to fight this privatisation too.
