Attempts by the English Defence League (EDL) to whip up racism in Barking, east London, on Saturday of last week were a humiliating flop.
The EDL had called a “local” demonstration.
But they had to bring in thugs from Coventry, Weymouth and Hastings to make up the numbers.
Around 100 racists turned up—to be met by around 80 local people, including trade unionists, Labour Party councillors and young people.
Some EDL supporters complained that people had thrown yoghurt and flour at them from the flats overhead.
