Education union elections

Issue No. 2290

Ballot papers in EIS elections go out this week.

Andrew Fullwood, a teacher in East Kilbride and delegate to the EIS national council, is standing for the position of EIS vice president.

He is a member of the Scottish Federation of Socialist Teachers and the Socialist Workers Party.

There are many fights on the horizon from nursery to HE. Effective action over pensions will give confidence to everybody fighting back. This will be a major feature of Andrew’s campaign.

Voting ends on 15 March.

Elections are continuing in the UCU lecturers’ union.

UCU Left, which Socialist Workers Party members are part of, is backing several candidates. It is standing Mark Campbell for general secretary of the union.
