Disabled people protest over cut

Issue No. 2290

Around 30 activists from Disabled People Against the Cuts protested against the closure of the Independent Living Fund on Monday.

They handed a letter of protest to the offices of disabilities minister Maria Miller in central London.

Many were enraged by her recent absurd suggestion that rising unemployment was down to “a lack of appetite for the jobs available”.

Miller scrounged £23,000 of public money for a second home in Wimbledon.
