Socialism for young workers

Forty people attended the SWP’s day school for new members and young workers last Sunday—to discuss the tasks ahead for revolutionaries in the workplace.

We discussed tension between the rank and file and the bureaucracy, and the importance of putting trade unions at the centre of resisting oppression.

The final session included how to build in non-unionised workplaces.

During the day, people agreed on building solidarity and confidence in the working class and raising the prospect of self-emancipation at every opportunity.
