The National Union of Students (NUS) has called a national walkout on Wednesday 14 March against the government’s attacks on further and higher education.
The walkout is during the week of action called by the NUS for 12-16 March. There will be a national lobby of parliament on 7 March.
In Scotland, students will march from the Scottish parliament on 29 February against the assault on their education system.
But pressure from staff and students in Scotland has already won some victories.
The Scottish parliament announced this week that it wouldn’t slash £11.4 million from the education budget.
On 4 March the Education Activist Network will host a national coordination meeting in London.
